Daily Chapel Services

One of the activities which contributes most to the spiritual level of the school is the daily chapel.  A host of inspiring preachers and missionaries grace our chapel pulpit.  Students also sit under the strong preaching of our founder, chancellor, and president, Dr. Tom Malone, Sr., and faculty members, who inspire and set the spiritual tone of the college.  Daily our school recites the Creed:

"I believe in the inspiration of the Bible, and the deity of Jesus Christ,
God's Son, in whom we have salvation from sin by faith, through grace.
I believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer and gives guidance and
power as we surrender to the Lordship of Christ.
I believe that God has given to the Church the responsibility to evangelize
the world through the preaching of the Gospel and personal soul-winning.
I will seek to live today so as to be ready to meet Him at His coming."

Campus Life

Midwestern seeks to prepare its graduates in areas of Biblical scholarship with emphasis on personal evangelism.  It seeks to build social maturity through college activities in music, drama, sports, and societies.   It helps to develop a student's leadership capabilities, and it seeks to instill a sense of dedication and purpose within each student by offering opportunities for practical experience within a church while attending Midwestern.

Dormitory Students

Many single students attending Midwestern Baptist College find dormitory life an interesting and injoyable experience.  All single students are required to live in the dormitory with the exception of those who are living with their parents in the general vicinity of the college.  Dormitory life is an exciting experience that helps the student learn to live with others.  A family atmosphere is generated among dormitory students.

The student handbook is available to inform the student concerning dormitory procedures.

Married Students

Married students who attend Midwestern Baptist College find ample housing available in the Pontiac area.

Employment

Employment may be sought in the various automobile plants and in the private industries in the area.  If a student desires to find employment, it is available.

Health Services

The location of Midwestern makes doctors, dentists, hospitals, and professional services of every kind in the Pontiac area easily accessible.  An infirmary is provided for dormitory students who may become ill while attending school.  A registered nurse is on call at all times.
